We are thrilled to be offering a monthly get together, which we are calling: Monthly Community Skills Share. This event is free and open to the public and will be held the first Saturday of each month May-August. We have such a rich and enthusiastic community that we would like to bring together and provide a place to share ancestral skills, work on individual projects, make space in our lives for community building and interactions, and enjoy a sense of time richness together on the land.

This event will be held from 10am-4pm. You can show up for as long as you please. Some months the Skills Share will include events, such as a focus on a specific skill or a potluck. Please see below for these additional events.

This is an open forum event. Folks are encouraged to: bring projects to work on, collaborate, musical instruments, stories and songs to share. Some months there may be instruction, but mostly we are hoping to create a space to practice ancestral skills and work on projects that have long been waiting to be touched.

Families- All family members of all ages are welcome. Parents are asked to accompany their children to this event if their children are under the age of 13.

We will provide water and a composting toilet.

Please be prepared to bring your own food, and materials for skills. There are no dogs allowed at this event.

We hope you will take the opportunity to join us each month.

If you would like to be added to the Monthly Skills Share mailing list to get updates and reminders once a month, please email our Program Coordinator Marni Wheaton at programs@laughingcoyoteproject.org
