Laughing Coyote Project is located on a 5 acre farm near Boulder, Colorado. For many years the land was not worked. Starting in the Fall of 2007 we began the journey of converting the land into a working biodynamic farm. Laughing Coyote Project's vision of reconnecting to the earth fits nicely with the regenerative practices of biodynamic farming. The farm is viewed as an ecosystem and in every action we are striving to give back to the land.

The vision for the garden is vast. It is used as an educational resource, the vegetables feed the students and the instructors, and it is the heart of the farm and biodynamic preparations. The medicine wheel garden is a home for flowers, medicinals, and herbs .

The poultry flock of chickens, turkeys and ducks provides eggs and rotates across the land feeding and returning nutrients to the soil.

Other animals on the land include the sheep and the goats, dogs, and the friendly barn cat.

Another long term project is adding trees to the land and developing a fruit orchard.

Gelsey grew up on community farms both in this country and in Italy. She uses this life long knowledge to lovingly create a garden which is both beautiful and highly productive. With his skills as a tracker, Neal views the landscape and invisions the development of orchards, pastures, and ecosystem. John Lainson helps us with most of our building needs and mentors the land aspects of our program.
